Chapter 1. Installing XMA
This chapter describes the installation procedure for the XYGATE Merged Audit (XMA)
files using the AutoInstall script. Running the AutoInstall script is a guided installation
with minimal SUPER command line input except where noted.
1.1 Before You Begin
Ensure that you have the following information ready before you begin the installation
procedures:
Administrator privileges for your PC.
The name of the TACL service.
SUPER.SUPER ID or an alias to SUPER.SUPER.
The TCP/IP address or the host name of the NonStop server where you wish to
install the XYGATE products.
1.2 Installing XMA Using the Automated Install Script
The AutoInstall script is designed for an easy installation of the XMA server pieces by
providing default run-time parameters which can be changed later.
If you are installing XMA from an HP SUT distribution, the distributed subvolume
(DSV) will contain an automated install/upgrade script and an uninstall script. When
upgrading existing server software, the AutoInstall script will locate the current
environment and update the programs to the most recent version, while maintaining
the parameters and data repository.
Note: Upgrading the XMA software using the AutoInstall script is described in
section 1.4 starting on page 14.
