Chapter 1. Installing XMA
XYPRO Technology Corporation 9 Proprietary and Confidential
If this is a new install, one of the following will be true:
no environments will be located or
no available environments will be located or
a new environment needs to be installed.
If existing environments are located, select the P option to install a new environment.
Enter available selection: P
Referring to Table 1 values, enter a Volume name or accept the default volume
displayed by the prompt.
Enter XTR volume <$MYVOL>?
Then enter the XTR subvolume name at the prompt. It would be helpful to identify this
subvolume as the XTR subvolume, using a name such as XYGATETR or XTRPROD.
Enter XTR subvol <XYGATETR> ?
Product locations established.
Performing verifications ...
Verifications complete.
The AutoInstall script will attempt to verify the selected locations. Any old installation
staging locations may have to be purged manually.
Files already exist in the location where the XTR product unpacks to:
$MYVOL.P46DSDST
You must purge the files on this subvol before continuing.
Are you ready to continue <Y/N>?
Do not answer the prompt yet.
You may or may not receive the above prompt. If you do, you must purge or rename
the P46DSDST subvolume now.
Start a separate TACL session, and execute the purge or rename functions as shown
in the Example below.
Example:
TACL> FUP PURGE $MYVOL.P46DSDST.* !
- or -
TACL> FUP RENAME $MYVOL.P46DSDST.*, $MYVOL.O46DSDST.*
When you complete the purge or rename function, answer Y to the prompt to continue.
