MACONFB
MACONFB is the compiled version of the FILTERS file. It is created using the
FILTCOMP program.
MAIL Filter Keyword
The MAIL ACTIONTYPE sends an email message when an event matching the
selection criteria of the Filter is detected. See also, MAIL_SRV, MAIL_PORT,
MAIL_LOCAL_DOMAIN, MAIL_FROM, MAIL_TO, MAIL_SUBJECT and MAIL_BODY.
MAIL_BODY Filter Keyword
Filters with a MAIL ACTIONTYPE require the MAIL_BODY keyword to define the
location of the EDIT file that XMA will use as the body of the email. You can format the
appearance of the message and use a combination of text and Data Substitution
Tokens. The file can be up to 100Kb in size.
The MAIL_BODY keyword is optional. If the keyword is omitted, the entire contents of
the tables will be inserted into the email body.
Note that when the FILTERS file is syntax checked, the template file must exist and its
contents will also be checked for syntax errors.
Previously, the only two accepted formats for the MAIL_BODY were filename or a fully
qualified filename, including the node name:
\NODE.$VOL.SUBVOL.FILENAME and FILENAME
Now any filenames not fully qualified will be expanded using the Filter location or
object file location with the following rule:
If Filters and object files are in the same node, EXPAND using the FILTERS file
location; otherwise, EXPAND using the location of the object file being used to run
the syntax check.
MAIL_FROM Filter Keyword
Filters with a MAIL ACTIONTYPE require the MAIL_FROM keyword to define the
email address that the MAIL alerts will be from. It does not have to be a valid email
address.
MAIL_PORT Filter Keyword
Filters with a MAIL ACTIONTYPE require the MAIL_PORT keyword to define the
PORT on the HP NonStop servers that the email will be sent through. The default mail
port is 25.
