The LAF adapter installer will install the adapter into a copy of the FILTERS file.

The created FILTERS copy will be checked for syntax. If no errors exist, the original
FILTERS file will be renamed as a backup and the copy will be renamed to become
the new FILTERS file; otherwise, you will be directed to review the file LOGFILT for
specific errors.

To back out changes, replace FILTERS with OLDFLT01.

1.4 Upgrading XMA or XTR Using the AutoInstall Script
This section describes the upgrade procedure using the AutoInstall script.
Important! If you are upgrading XMA from a version prior to 1.95, be sure to read the
additional instructions in section 1.5, “Upgrade Considerations” starting on page 21.
1. Locate the distributed subvolume (DSV). The default name of this subvolume is
ZXYPROMA and will be located on the disc where the SUT copied Z-type files to
the server.
You should not run the AutoInstall script from the DSV because it will get replaced
upon each SUT operating system installation. Locate the XMA installation staging
location, or decide on a new staging location, and set the default volume to that
location.
