Chapter 1. Installing XMA
XYPRO Technology Corporation 24 Proprietary and Confidential
2. Upload each file listed below using any binary file transfer method (for example,
FTP, IXF) from the following staging subvolume to the PC using the BINARY
option. Rename the server files with the extension of .EXE. You can place these
binary install files in any folder on the PC.
$MYVOL.IXYPROMA.IXCFEXE as IXCF.EXE
$MYVOL.IXYPROMA.IXEMEXE as IXEM.EXE
$MYVOL.IXYPROMA.IXGIEXE as IXGI.EXE
$MYVOL.IXYPROMA.IXRGEXE as IXRG.EXE
$MYVOL.IXYPROMA.IXOHEXE as IXOH.EXE

Executing each .EXE will install the software on your PC. For more instructions on
running the Installation method for the GUI, refer to the appropriate XYGATE
User’s Guide and Reference Manual. (To get this and other XYPRO documents,
refer to the section “Additional XYPRO Reference Manuals” in this manual.)
1.7 Managing the XYGATE License
XYGATE modules are “licensed” for a specific amount of time. This section describes
the steps for checking and updating the XYGATE license file.
1.7.1 Checking the Status of the Current License
To check your current license expiration date, use the XMA_VERSION macro. Refer to
Appendix E26: on page 225 for a description of this macro.
Syntax:
XMA_VERSION
The date on which the license expires is displayed on the XYGATE banner, right after
the node name in the abbreviated output shown below.

Note: If the XMA license file is expired or bad, then none of the XYGATEMA features
will be available. If the license is expired or invalid, XYGATEMA will send a
message to EMS. If the license expires in less than 30 days, then XMA will audit
the warning message that the license is going to expire in less than 30 days.
