this purpose. These macros are the recommended way to manage your Pathway
because they provide additional processing such as creating the PWSTATE table on
shutdown and prompting for a startup date/time for the MOVERs at startup.
2.6.2 Starting the Pathway
If the Pathway is not running, select option 1 at the Main Menu Selection? prompt
(page 99) to display the Pathway Management Menu.

If the Pathway has never been started, press 1 to select Cold Start; otherwise, press 2
for Cool Start.
You will be presented with the startup dialog as follows:
To modify any of the items below choose an option
otherwise select R to continue :
1: Start all servers :Y
2: Pathmon cpus :0,1
X: Exit from this menu
R: Run

To change any of the parameters select the corresponding entry id. Enter the
desired value at the prompt and hit return. When you are ready to start the
Pathway select R.
Saving CPU numbers in MGRSETUP file ...
If you restart a pathway that has been run previously, accepting the default
will cause:
- Movers that have run before to start where they left off.
- Movers that were added via Discover (Mover Menu/Option 1), will start from
the time provided during the discover process.
- Movers that were added manually will start from oldest record in the target
audit trail.

To start data collection from the beginning of existing audits, enter -1.
To start data collection from a certain number of days ago, enter a number
greater than 1.
To start data collection from a specific date onwards, enter a date in the
format yyyy-mm-dd [hh:mn[:ss]]
