Chapter 13. Configuring the RSA SecurID Interface
XYPRO Technology Corporation 102 Proprietary and Confidential
13.5 Preparing RSA Server for Communication with NonStop Server
The administrator for the RSA Authentication Manager must alter the server
configuration in order to enable the NonStop server to communicate with it as follows:
1. Add the NonStop server to the RSA Authentication Manager’s configuration as an
agent host of the "net os agent" type.
2. Enable all the userids to use that agent host.
3. Generate the configuration file sdconf.rec for the new agent host.
4. Copy the sdconf.rec file to the /rsa directory in the OSS space on NonStop server.
You can now proceed to the next section to run the RSA Install macro.
13.6 Running the RSA Install Macro
Now that you have designed your configuration, you can run the XUA_RSA_INSTALL
macro to configure the RSA interface.
All your responses to the Install macro will be recorded in the UACONF file in the form
of keywords using the values you enter at the prompts. If you have to change these
values, you can modify them in UACONF only after the macro run is completed.
Note: The XUA_RSA_INSTALL macro is intended only to be used to configure the
initial environment and not for on-going maintenance. All keywords in the
UACONF file can be edited directly.
The following is an example of a macro run. After each prompt, you will find an
explanation of what each entered value achieves, as well as the keyword that will
represent this value in the UACONF file.
Example: Sample Execution of the XUA_RSA_INSTALL Macro
> RUN XUA INSTALL
> XUA_RSA_INSTALL
You will be asked a series of questions about configuring XUA to interface the RSA
server. You may abort the install process at any prompt by hitting the BREAK key.
Prompts that end with a string within angle brackets mean
that just hitting the return key will use that default value.
Do you want to configure the RSA interface <Y>?
The above prompt is asking you to confirm your intentions. If you answer N, the
macro will quit.
