Chapter 18. Managing the XUA Seep
This section describes how to maintain the Safeguard Authentication SEEP.
18.1  Examining the XUA Seep
To see whether or not the XUA SEEP is installed and/or enabled, start SAFECOM and
enter the following command:
$SYSTEM XYGATEUA 1> SAFECOM INFO EVENT-EXIT-PROCESS XUA
 EVENT-EXIT-PROCESS XUA
 ENABLED = ON
 RESPONSE-TIMEOUT = 60 SECONDS
 ENABLE-AUTHENTICATION-EVENT = ON
 ENABLE-AUTHORIZATION-EVENT = OFF
 ENABLE-PASSWORD-EVENT  = OFF
 PROG  = $SYSTEM.XYGATEUA.XYGATEUA
 LIB  = * NONE *
 PNAME = $XUA
 SWAP  = * NONE *
 CPU  = ANY
 PRI  =  198
 PARAM-TEXT = SERVER
$SYSTEM XYGATEUA 2>
Note that ENABLE-AUTHENTICATION-EVENT = ON and that the PROG is
XYGATEUA. These pieces of information tell you that the XUA SEEP is running.
SECURITY-EVENT-EXIT-PROCESS (SEEP)
The EVENT-EXIT-PROCESS parameter determines the name of the SEEP
Configuration Record.
ENABLED
The ENABLED parameter determines whether or not the SEEP is ruling on security
events relayed from Safeguard. The default value is OFF.
If ENABLED is ON, Safeguard will start the process and send designated SEEP
messages to the process.
If ENABLED is OFF, Safeguard will not start the designated SEEP and will not send it
any messages.
