XYPRO Technology Corporation 170 Proprietary and Confidential
RESPONSE-TIMEOUT
The RESPONSE-TIMEOUT parameter determines the time in seconds that Safeguard
will wait for the SEEP to respond to an event.
Safeguard’s response to a TIMEOUT depends on the type of SEEP as follows:
• If a Password-Quality or Authorization SEEP times out and the user attempting the
access is a local member of the SUPER group, Safeguard makes the ruling based
on its own rules, and the event proceeds.
• If a Password-Quality SEEP times out and the user attempting the access is NOT
a local member of the SUPER group, Safeguard denies the password change
request.
• If an Authorization SEEP times out and the user attempting the access is NOT a
local member of the SUPER group, Safeguard denies the access request.
• If an Authentication SEEP times out for any user, Safeguard denies the
authentication request.
The default value is 5 seconds.
ENABLE-AUTHENTICATION-EVENT
The ENABLE-AUTHENTICATION-EVENT determines whether or not authentication
events will be sent to the SEEP. The XYPRO Authentication SEEP is called XUA.
If ENABLE-AUTHENTICATION-EVENT is ON, authentication events will be sent to the
SEEP when it is enabled.
If ENABLE-AUTHENTICATION-EVENT is OFF, authentication events will not be sent
to the SEEP when it is enabled.
The default value is OFF.
ENABLE-AUTHORIZATION-EVENT
The ENABLE-AUTHORIZATION-EVENT determines whether or not authorization
events will be sent to the SEEP. The XYPRO Authorization SEEP is called XOS.
If ENABLE-AUTHORIZATION-EVENT is ON, authorization events will be sent to the
SEEP.
If ENABLE-AUTHORIZATION-EVENT is OFF, authorization events will not be sent to
the SEEP.
The default value is OFF.
