Chapter 19. XUA Auditing and Audit Reports
XYPRO Technology Corporation 185 Proprietary and Confidential
If you put an asterisk ( * ) in front of a string representing a login name, XUA will
include any login names containing the string you have entered in the report.
LOGIN NAME: *XYPRO
finds all login names containing XYPRO
LOGIN NAME: *test
finds all login names containing test
If you put an asterisk ( * ) at the end of a string representing a login name, XUA will
include any login names that begin with the string you have entered in the report.
LOGIN NAME: XYPRO*
finds all login names starting with XYPRO
LOGIN NAME: test*
finds all login names starting with test
If you enter a string without either a leading or trailing asterisk ( * ), then XUA will only
include login names that exactly match the string you have entered.
LOGIN NAME: XYPRO.QA
finds only the login name XYPRO.QA
You can also exclude specific users by using NOT statements. NOT statements must
follow the initial wildcarded selection. For example, if you want to report on the
activities of all XYPRO users except XYPRO.TEST1, you would enter:
XYPRO.* not XYPRO.TEST1
You can exclude multiple users by entering the Login Names separated by commas.
19.5.4 System
This allows you to select users authenticated on a remote node (system). Essentially,
this allows you to limit your report to remote users.
XUA only reads audit files on the node where you run the XUA_REPORT macro.
You may enter a valid node name or an asterisk ( * ) to include all nodes. If you enter
a portion of a node name, all nodes containing the entry will be included in the report.
For example, if you enter "DAT", any nodes containing those letters, such as DATA1,
EXDAT, etc., where users accessing the local node were authenticated will be
included in the report.
To select the subject node(s) you want included in the report, select E.
Example:
