XYGATE GUIs use a LISTNER process to connect to the host.
You may choose to have a XYGATE LISTNER started now.
WARNING: The XYGATE LISTNER is intended for testing your XYGATE/TR
configuration. This XYGATE LISTNER process may disappear. To assign
a permanent LISTNER, add the following to $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.PORTCONF
and restart the HP LISTNER:
The port connection for the GUI/PC modules can be permanently set up to the
system’s PORTCONF file using the following information. If the port is defined in this
manner, it will be restarted each time the system is cold-loaded or TCP/IP is re-started.
1121 $VOL.XYGATETR.XYGATETR -server
If this is a new install, you will be asked to start the LISTNER process for connection
from the PC/GUI products. Starting the LISTNER is not a requirement for the server
portion of the XUA product. It may be started at any time. If started now, it will bind
itself to the port number you previously entered in the script.
Would you like to start the XYGATE LISTNER now <Y/N>? Y
The GUI/PC modules will not be able to connect without a LISTNER set up via this
script or via the PORTCONF. Refer to the GUI Product User Guides from XYPRO for
more information on LISTNERs. (To get this and other XYPRO documents, refer to the
section “Additional XYPRO Reference Manuals” in the “Introduction” of this manual.)
