10.5 HP StoreVirtual Storage Upgrade Guide (AX696-96256, March 2013)

1 Upgrading HP StoreVirtual Storage
HP recommends that you always upgrade to the latest version of the HP StoreVirtual Storage
including:
Firmware
LeftHand OS
CMC
CLI
DSM for MPIO
Application Aware Snapshot Manager
Beginning with Version 9.0, the CMC enables online upgrades for HP StoreVirtual Storage. Use
the CMC to check for, download, and install the latest versions and patches. You can also use the
latest CMC to manage storage systems, management groups, and clusters that are running earlier
versions of LeftHand OS. For example, a Version 9.5.x CMC will manage clusters of storage
systems running Version 9.0 LeftHand OS.
NOTE: Online upgrade is only available for firmware, LeftHand OS, and the CMC. For all other
components, the CMC will indicate what version you should upgrade to (based on the current
LeftHand OS version or the LeftHand OS version you are upgrading to).
