NOTE: Because it can take a few minutes for the storage system to set the network address,
the search may fail the first time. If the search fails, wait a minute or two and select Try Again
on the Network Search Failed message.
12. Verify the new bond interface.

The bond interface shows as “bond0” and has a static IP address. The two physical NICs
now show as slaves in the Mode column.
13. (Optional, for Active-Passive bonds only) To change which interface is the preferred interface
in an Active-Passive bond, on the TCP Status tab select one of the NICs in the bond, right–click
and select Set Preferred.
Verify communication setting for new bond
1. Select a storage system, and open the tree below it.
2. Select Network, and click the Communication tab.

3. Verify that the LeftHand OS communication port is correct.
Viewing the status of a NIC bond
You can view the status of the interfaces on the TCP Status tab. Notice that in the Active-Passive
bond, one of the NICs is the preferred NIC. In both the Link Aggregation Dynamic Mode bond
and the Adaptive Load Balancing bond, neither physical interface is preferred.
