HP P6000 EVA Release Notes (XCS 11001100) (5697-2516, March 2013)

Fixes (XCS 11001000)
The following issues have been fixed in XCS 11001000 and are included in XCS 11001100:
Event logs
Corrected an issue where event 0x0c03000c was falsely generated for asynchronous replication
DR groups:
The specified Data Replication Group has transitioned to the Merging
state because the Data Replication Destination Storage System is now
accessible or resumed.
Fixed issue where event 0x0c62000c was falsely generated:
The members of the specified Source Data Replication Group have been
re-presented to the host because the failsafe on link-down/power-up
protection condition has been cleared with Suspend/Resume.
Fixed issue where event 0x09e0b70e is falsely generated for virtual disks that are not thin
provisioned during a shrink or expand process:
A Storage System Virtual Disk's allocation alarm level threshold has
been reached.
Fixed issue in which controller events 0x070e0015 were logged when no ebits were set within
the range of the host write:
A range of ebits were set or cleared for a Logical Disk.
Controller termination
This section describes issues that can result in termination of controller operation. A single controller
termination will result in a reduction of redundancy. A dual controller termination indicates a possibility
of a data unavailable condition. A recursive termination will require manual intervention to address.
Addressed an issue for the use of the VAAI XCOPY feature with LUNs that are greater than 2 TB
in size.
Addressed a USTL/CSM reset termination, which occurs when the XCS controller software does
not receive a response after sending data to a host.
Fixed an issue where arrays with a large number of disk drives will terminate with a watchdog
timeout or where large disk groups can experience write latency, as seen by the host server when
calculating the capacity of the disk group. The latency issue is not seen with disk groups containing
104 disks or less.
Fixed an issue where an errant request from HP P6000 Command View to access an unused
code development device causes the array to terminate.
Fixed an issue where a Data Replication log capacity set to zero would cause a recursive
termination condition.
Fixed an issue where work which has been suspended by internal processes can be restarted and
result in a controller termination.
Fixed an issue where removing host presentation of a virtual disk can cause a virtual disk drive
to become stalled, resulting in an inability to access a virtual disk.
Fixed an issue in which a data replication group member cannot be removed under certain
circumstances, and results in a system termination.
Fixed issue in which inconsistent DR merge or log data caused a storage system crash.
Fixed an issue in which a pending DR log merge caused a controller termination.
