Specifying DLOM settings
P9000 Application Performance Extender provides an option to balance the MP blade utilization of
P9500 disk arrays. The Dynamic LDEV Ownership Management (DLOM) feature enables load
balancing of P9500 disk arrays by dynamically changing LDEV ownership and balancing I/O
workloads across multiple MP blades. The I/Os pertaining to an LDEV are processed by the MP blade
associated with it. P9000 Application Performance Extender will collect, monitor, and maintain the
overall MP blade utilization data. When the load balancing option is enabled, and if there is a
considerable difference in the MP blade utilizations, the LDEVs from the busier MP blades are moved
to less busy MP blades. For more information on enabling DLOM, see Enabling DLOM settings.
