Configuration overview
1. For P9000 arrays, configure command device user authentication.
For instructions, see “Configuring RAID Manager command device user authentication”
(page 65)
2. Create and configure a P9000 Cluster Extension resource.
For instructions, see “Creating and configuring a P9000 Cluster Extension resource” (page 61).
3. Configure the pair/resync monitor if you plan to use the pair/resync feature (optional).
For instructions, see “Configuring the pair/resync monitor” (page 67)
4. Activate the pair/resync monitor (optional). For instructions, see “Activating the pair/resync
monitor” (page 68).
Creating and configuring a P9000 Cluster Extension resource
Use the following procedure to create a P9000 Cluster Extension SLE HA resource:
1. Create the configuration file. For instructions, see “Creating the P9000 Cluster Extension
resource configuration file” (page 61).
2. Create a P9000 Cluster Extension resource using the SLE HA GUI. Use one of the following
procedures:
• “Creating a P9000 Cluster Extension resource for Pacemaker” (page 62)
• “Creating a P9000 Cluster Extension resource for Heartbeat” (page 63)
3. Test the configuration. For instructions, see “Testing the configuration” (page 64).
Creating the P9000 Cluster Extension resource configuration file
The procedure in this section is based the sample configuration in “P9000 Cluster Extension for
Linux: Sample configuration” (page 53). Use this procedure as a guide for configuring your
environment.
1. Log in to system Host1 as root.
2. Create the P9000 Cluster Extension resource configuration file CLXP9000.config in the
/etc/opt/hpclx/conf directory by copying and editing the sample file CLXP9000.config
provided in the /opt/hpclx/sample directory.
$cp /opt/hpclx/sample/CLXP9000.config
/etc/opt/hpclx/conf/CLXP9000.config
3. In the configuration file (CLXP9000.config), enter the appropriate values for:
• XPSerialNumbers
• RaidManagerInstances
• DeviceGroup
• DC_A_Hosts
• DC_B_Hosts
• ResyncMonitor
• FenceLevel
• DataLoseMirror
• DataLoseDataCenter
