3. In the View Pool Management Status window, view the following rebalancing progress of the
usage level among pool-VOLs:
• Pool Name (ID)
The pool name and pool ID.
• Pool Type
The pool type.
Values:
- THP: The pool is a Thin Provisioning pool.
- Smart:The pool is a a Smart Tiers pool.
- Mainframe THP: The pool is a Thin Provisioning Z pool.
- Mainframe Smart: The pool is a Smart Tiers Z pool.
- FS: The pool is a Fast Snap pool.
• Number of V-VOLs
The number of V-VOLs associated with the pool, and the maximum number of V-VOLs
that you can associate with the pool.
• Number of Primary VOLs
The number of P-VOLs of FS pairs that are associated with the pool.
• Number of Pool VOLs
The number of pool-VOLs used in the pool and the maximum number of pool-VOLs that
you can use in the pool.
• Tier Management
If Smart Tiers or Smart Tiers Z is enabled, Auto or Manual of performance monitoring
and tier relocation is displayed. If Smart Tiers or Smart Tiers Z is disabled, a hyphen (-)
is displayed.
• Monitoring Mode
The monitoring mode that is set for the pool.
Values:
- Continuous Mode: Continuous mode is enabled.
- Period Mode: Period mode is enabled.
• Monitoring Status
The status of pool monitoring.
Values:
- In Progress: You are performing monitoring.
- A hyphen (-): You are not performing monitoring.
• Relocation Speed/Actual
The tier relocation speed.
Values: 1(Slowest), 2(Slower), 3(Standard), 4(Faster), or 5(Fastest).
Actual displays the measured value of the tier relocation capacity per second.
• Pool Management Task (Status/Progress)
The status and progress ratio of the pool management task being performed to the pool,
and the average progress ratio for each V-VOL in the pool.
