1 Installation requirements
This chapter describes the installation requirements for the RAID Manager (RAID Manager) software.
System requirements
RAID Manager operations involve the RAID Manager software on the UNIX/PC server host, the
command device(s) on the RAID storage system(s), and the logical volumes on the RAID storage
system(s).
The system requirements for RAID Manager are:
• RAID Manager software product. The RAID Manager software is supplied on CD-ROM.
• Host platforms: RAID Manager operations are supported on the following host platforms. For
details about supported OS versions, failover software, and logical volume manager software
see Table 1 (page 7).
