Hitachi Global Link Manager Software Installation and Configuration Guide

In Failover Cluster Management, right-click the resource group to which
the services used by Global Link Manager have been registered, and then
choose Move this service or application to another node.
For Microsoft Failover Cluster (on Windows Server 2012):
In Failover Cluster Manager, right-click the role to which the services used
by Global Link Manager have been registered, choose Move and then,
Select Node.
Installing Global Link Manager on the Secondary Node
1. On the secondary node, perform a new installation of Global Link
Manager.
For details about how to install Global Link Manager for the first time, see
Installing Global Link Manager for the First Time on page
2-5Requirements for installation are as follows:

Specify the same installation folder as the one specified on the
primary node.
¢
Specify the same folders as those specified on the primary node (i.e.,
the folders for storing the databases of Hitachi Command Suite
Common Component and the Global Link Manager server).
¢
For the IP address or host name of the Global Link Manager server,
specify the logical IP address or logical host name of the cluster.
¢
For the SNMP trap destination IP address, specify the logical IP
address of the cluster.
2. Enter the license key from the Global Link Manager GUI.
Use the IP address or host name of the secondary node to access Global
Link Manager. For details on how to specify the license, see
Setting Up
License Information During Initial Login on page 2-26.
3. Use a text editor to create a cluster-configuration file.
The items to be specified in the cluster-configuration file are as follows:
mode: Specify standby.
virtualhost: Specify the logical host name.
onlinehost: Specify the host name of the primary node.
standbyhost: Specify the host name of the secondary node.
An IP address cannot be specified for virtualhost, onlinehost, or
standbyhost. Make sure that the IP address can be resolved from the
host name.
The following shows a coding example in the cluster-configuration file:
mode = standby
virtualhost = hicommand_cluster
onlinehost = hicommand_1
standbyhost = hicommand_2
Save the created file as cluster.conf in Hitachi-Command-Suite-
Common-Component-installation-folder\conf.
