Hitachi Global Link Manager Software Installation and Configuration Guide
(including the Global Link Manager database)
If execution of the hcmds64dbclustersetup command fails because there
is not enough space for database-re-creation-destination-folder, increase
the space for the folder, and then re-execute the command.
• Do not disconnect the shared disk from the executing node until the
hcmds64dbclustersetup command execution terminates normally.
• If execution of the hcmds64dbclustersetup command terminated
abnormally and then you restart the server, the connection target of the
shared disk might be changed to the standby node.
Installing a Global Link Manager Cluster on the Primary Node
1. Change the Global Link Manager IP address or host name that was
specified during installation to the logical IP address or logical host name
for a cluster:
Check the URL that is currently set. Execute the following command:
Hitachi-Command-Suite-Common-Component-installation-folder\bin
\hcmds64chgurl /list
Change the URL. Specify the current URL in old-URL, and then execute
the following command:
Hitachi-Command-Suite-Common-Component-installation-folder\bin
\hcmds64chgurl /change old-URL new-URL
The following shows the URL format:
http://ip-address-or-host-name:port-number
The following shows an example of executing the command:
hcmds64chgurl /change http://10.208.116.41:22015 http://
10.208.116.45:22015
When using an IPv6 address, enclose the IP address in square brackets
([ ]).
To check the new URL, execute hcmds64chgurl /list.
2. Use a text editor to edit the SNMP trap destination IP address specified in
the property file (server.properties).
The server.properties file is stored in the following location:
Global-Link-Manager-installation-folder\conf
Change the SNMP Trap destination IP address to the logical IP address of
the cluster.
For server.snmp.trap_ip_address, specify the logical IP address of the
cluster.
3. Back up the database.
For details about how to back up the database, see
Backing Up the Global
Link Manager Database on page 3-8.
