Volume backup in a 3DC multi-target configuration workflow
You can use FS to back up Cnt Ac-S and Cnt Ac-J volumes on the remote sites in a 3DC multi-target
configuration.
The following figure shows how to back up the volumes.
• Pair 1 is a Cnt Ac-S pair.
• Pair 2 is an Cnt Ac-J pair.
• Pair 3 is an Cnt Ac-J pair for delta resync.
• Pairs 4, 5, and 6 are FS pairs.
You must create 3DC multi-target and delta resync pairs (pairs 1, 2, and 3) before creating pairs
5 and 6, but not before creating pair 4.
You cannot share 3DC volumes that use two mirrors with FS.
