AH303A PCIe SC44Ge SAS Host Bus Adapter for Integrity Servers Support Guide, September 2009
WARNING! Performing a low-level format on a hard disk drive destroys all data stored on
that disk. Do not interrupt the operation. Doing so can result in irreparable damage to the hard
disk.
Operation
Unless you include <noprompt> on the command line, warning messages appear. You must
answer a series of prompts or the command is aborted. The answers are case sensitive and you
must enter them in upper case.
This command returns to a shell prompt when the format operation is complete. Depending on
the capacity and model of disk drive, this can take a considerable amount of time.
LIST
Use the LIST command to view information about all AH303A adapters, HP 8 Internal Port SAS
Controllers, and HP Multi Port SAS Controllers in the system. You can also use the LIST command
to determine the <controller #> parameter required by the other cfggen commands.
Syntax
cfggen list
Parameters
None.
Sample Output
Following is an example output from a system with one HP 8 Internal Port SAS Controller and
one AH303A Controller:

Unsupported Commands
You can use the cfggen utility to configure several different HP controllers. Some of these
controllers have Integrated RAID (IR) functionality; however, IR is not supported on the AH303A.
If you use a RAID-related cfggen command with an AH303A adapter, an error message similar
to the following appears:
