Overview
The HP PDU Management Module enables you to monitor
and manage power environments
of up to two single input
PDUs per management module.

Installing the management
module
Install the management module on
a single or dual PDU. For a
detailed list of supported PD
Us, refer to the HP website
(http://www.hp.com/go/rackandpower
).
NOTE:
It is not necessary to power down the PDU
before installing the management module.
1.
Connect the serial connector
on the rear panel of the
management module to the se
rial connector marked Port
2 on the PDU.
2.
Secure the serial connection
using the screws provided.
3.
Secure the tab on the management module to the PDU
using the screw provided.
NOTE:
Depending on the model purchased, the PDU
might look different than shown.
Checking the LED indicator
If the LED indicator illuminates or flashes, refer to the
"Troubleshooting" section in the user guide for more
information.
Connecting the network cable
Connect a standard Ethernet
cable between the network
connector on the management
module and a network jack.
This connection is used to access the management module
through telnet or the web interface.
Connecting the serial cable
Connect a serial cable between
the serial connector on the
management module and the serial connector on a host
computer. This connection is used
to configure and access the
management module through a
terminal emulation program.
