Calibrating the differential pressure sensors
This option is available only when all fans and the IT load are powered off and there is no air flowing inside
the HP POD 20c.
To calibrate the chilled water pressure sensors:
1. Power down the POD. For more information, see "Power down procedure (on page 73)."
2. Set the fan speed for each fan control zone to Manual mode and 0% fan speed. For more information,
see "Setting the fan controls for each fan control zone (on page 51)."
3. Open the doors for 5 minutes to equalize the pressure between the hot and cold aisles.
4. Select Calibrate Differential Pressure Sensors.
5. Select Save.
6. Set the fan speeds to Auto mode.
Zone fan test
To run a zone fan test:
1. Power down the POD. For more information, see "Power down procedure (on page 73)."
2. Select Zone fan test for the zone you want to test.
The fans begin the test on speed and cycle through each speed until reaching the maximum speed.
If the ECS system detects a normal power reading and the current power level meets the setpoint, the test
stops and the Zone fan test button indicates that the fan test passed.
If the ECS system detects an abnormal power reading or the current power level does not meet the setpoint,
the test stops and the Zone fan test button indicates that the fan test failed.
If the test failed:
1. Identify the failed fan on the Overview screen (on page 42).
2. Replace the fan. For more information, see the HP Performance Optimized Datacenter 20c
Maintenance and Service Guide.
3. Run the test again.
