Status indicator Meaning
Green The HP POD component is operating in good condition.
Red The HP POD component is operating outside normal thresholds.
Reset Active alarms are pending.

Clears the alarms and changes the status indicator to green if the condition is
good.

Does not clear the alarms, but displays alerts for alarm conditions. The status
indicator remains red until the alarm condition is resolved.
Basic system configuration
The basic system configuration option enables you to set operating points and configure settings for the
HP POD.
NOTE: This page is only accessible after you complete password configuration. For more
information on configuring password settings, see ECS overview (on page 36).
Adjusting the fan control
From the basic configuration screen, you can manually adjust the fan control for each zone within the HP
POD.
IMPORTANT: Manual fan settings are not saved. After a system reboot, fan control settings
return to automatic operation.
1. Select AUTOMATIC/TEMPERATURE to toggle to manual operation.
2. Adjust the fan setting using the numerical settings (0 to 4) for each zone.
3. (Optional) Select AUTOMATIC/TEMPERATURE to return to automatic control.
4. Click Save to save your settings.
