Water quality requirements
Water quality requirements and specifications
Closed-loop water must not contain any lime scale deposits or loose debris.
The water must have a low level of hardness, particularly a low level of carbon hardness.
Additionally, the water must not be so soft that it attacks the materials with which it comes into
contact.
The chilled water temperature to be supplied to the HP POD is 13ºC to 24ºC (55ºF to 75ºF).
Freezing water might cause a blockage and damage to the unit. The heat transfer potential of the
water is lower, so the equipment must be derated properly.
Acceptable water quality specifications
Water must be maintained per the following acceptable water quality standards.
