push buttons (if installed) in
succession. Verify that all
shunt-trips on all panels trip.

EPO functional test
Initiate a thermal (automatic) EPO
shutdown via EPO temperature
switches that are located in the
hot aisle. Verify that all shunt-trips
on all panels trip.

EPO system test
EPO non-functional test
Perform a functional test by
rotating the EPO mode keyed
switch through all modes. Verify
the following indicators.
Armed mode

Power=white
•
Armed=white
Bypass mode
•
Bypass=green
Test mode
•
Test=amber
Press the EPO button (each in
succession) and thermal trip to
verify the following indicators:
•
Reset=white
•
Audible alarm
•
Visual strobe alarm
Replace lights upon failure.

Emergency lighting
Verify the emergency lighting is
visible when all lighting is off and
the POD doors are shut.
Every 2 years Qualified personnel
Exit signs
Be sure signs are illuminated.
Replace as necessary.

Visually inspect and test the
operation of the emergency
egress panic bars on the
personnel access doors.
