For the HP ProCurve 802.11b AP Card 150wl Products
Important Note
The HP ProCurve 150wl cards are supported only in the HP ProCurve Wireless Access
Point 520wl. They are not supported in client devices including notebooks, PDAs,
handhelds, or any other similar devices. All information supplied with your 150wl card
that refers to using the card in client devices does not apply to these HP ProCurve
products.
Printed and Online Documentation
The following section lists the documents that are included with your HP ProCurve
150wl card and the applicable changes that should be made. These documents are
provided either printed, or electronically, if a CD is included with your card.
Information to the User.
● All references to the WL110, or product names that include WL110, apply to
the HP ProCurve 802.11b AP Card 150wl products.
● All references to products other than the WL110, for example the WL215,
WL210, and WL310, do not apply to the HP ProCurve wireless products. If
you own any of these other products, for information about them, please
refer to the documentation that was supplied with the products.
readme.txt. If a CD is included with your 150wl card, please ignore this document,
which is located in the /Software directory on the CD.
ReadThis.pdf. If a CD is included with your 150wl card, please ignore this docu-
ment, which is located in the /Docs directory on the CD.
Quick Install Guide.
● This document is included with the product either in printed form, or, if a
CD is included with the card, as the file /Docs/WL110Eng.pdf on the CD.
● As stated above, the 150wl cards are not supported in client devices. Please
ignore all references to using the WL110 (the older equivalent product name
to the 150wl) in client devices. The information that applies to the 150wl can
be found in the introductory information and card features in chapter 1, and
in appendices A and B.
● The HP 150wl card is configured only through the software interfaces for
the HP ProCurve Wireless Access Point 520wl. If a CD is included with your
card, please ignore any software that is on the CD. It cannot be used with
your 150wl card.
● For any references in the document to any Compaq web sites or to the HP
home web site, http://www.hp.com, use the HP ProCurve web site instead:
http://www.hp.com/go/hpprocurve
● In the printed version of this guide, the table of contents refers to chapters
2, 3, and 4, but in the guide, the chapters are numbered 3, 4, and 5
respectively.
