local-engineid: Displays a local engine ID.
remote-engineid: Displays a remote engine ID.
Description
Use the display snmp-agent command to view the engine ID of the current device.
An SNMP engine ID identifies an SNMP entity uniquely within an SNMP domain. As an
indispensable part of an SNMP entity, an SNMP engine ID performs the function of
sending, receiving and authenticating SNMP messages, extracting PDUs, packet
encapsulation and the communication with SNMP applications.
Examples
# Display the local engine ID of the current device.
<H3C> display snmp-agent local-engineid
SNMP local EngineID: 00000009020000000C025808
The SNMP local EngineID field in the above information represents the ID of the local
SNMP engine.
