z Something is wrong with the console cable.
8.1.2 Illegible Characters on the Terminal
If the configuration terminal displays illegible characters, it is very likely that the terminal
parameters are incorrect. In this case, check them according to the correct
configuration listed in section
8.1.1 “No Display on the Terminal” on page 8-1.
8.2 Troubleshooting the Power Supply

LED Status Description
ON The power module works normally.
OK (Green)
OFF The power module is faulty or is not installed.
ON The power module is faulty.
FAIL (Red)
OFF The power module works normal or is not installed.
 Note:
If the FAIL LED on the S7503 is on, it is also possible that the power module is in
position but the power switch is not turned on.
If the OK LED is off, something is wrong with the system power supply. Check whether:
z The power switch is turned on.
z The power cable(s) is properly connected.
z The voltage is correct.
8.3 Troubleshooting the Fan Tray

ON The fan tray works normally.

OFF The fan tray is faulty or is not installed yet.
