4.2.1 Enabling Multicast and Configuring Limit on the Number of Route
Entries
Follow these steps to enable multicast and configure limit on the number of route
entries:

Enable multicast

Multicast must be enabled before
the multicast group management
protocol and the multicast routing
protocol are enabled.
Configure limit on

By default, the limit on the number of
multicast route entries is 1,024.
Caution:
The other multicast configurations do not take effect until multicast is enabled.
