z You can configure to filter
the IP addresses of some
multicast groups in an ACL.
z By default, the switch does
not filter the register
messages from the DR.
Caution:
z If a (S, G) entry is denied in an ACL, or no operation on the entry is defined in the
ACL, or no ACL is defined, the RP will send a register stop message to the DR to
stop the registration process of the multicast data stream.
z Only the register messages matching the permit rule of the ACL can be accepted.
When an invalid ACL is defined, the RP will reject all the register messages.
