Upgrading from the BootWare menu
You can use the following methods to upgrade software from the BootWare menu:
 Using TFTP/FTP to upgrade software through an Ethernet port
 Using XMODEM to upgrade software through the console port
TIP:
Upgrading through an Ethernet port is faster than through the console port.
Accessing the BootWare menu
1. Power on the switch, and you can see the following information:
System is starting...
Press Ctrl+D to access BASIC-BOOTWARE MENU
Booting Normal Extended BootWare
The Extended BootWare is self-decompressing...................................
