Operation changes in 12500-CMW710-R7129
Adding an MDC configuration restriction error message
The R7129 release introduced an error message to show that executing the location slot command
fails because the maximum number of MDCs associated with the specified interface card is
exceeded.
If the interface card has 512 M memory, it can be assigned to only one MDC. The error message is
displayed when the interface card is assigned to a second MDC.
If the interface card has 1 G memory, it can be assigned to a maximum of two MDCs. The error
message is displayed when the interface card is assigned to a third MDC.
NOTE:
Before upgrading to R7129 (or later), make sure the number of MDCs does not exceed the
limit supported by R7129.
Managing the system with BootWare
The BootWare menus were modified to provide higher security. The password-recovery enable
command was introduced to control password recovery capability.
For more information, see HP 12500-CMW710-R7129 Release Notes (Software Feature Changes).
