8.1 Remote Upgrading through CLI
You may upgrade the application and Boot ROM program of a device remotely
through command line interface (CLI). Firstly, telnet to the device from a computer (at
10.10.110.1) running FTP Server first; and then FTP the application program,
S7500.app. for example, from the FTP server as follows:
<H3c>ftp 10.10.110.1
Trying 10.10.110.1 ...

LPU BootRom Upgrading:
<H3c> bootrom update file S7500.app slot 3 （ Note that the slot number
should correspond to the slot where the board locates.）
Host Program Upgrading:
<H3c> boot-loader file S7500.app slot 0 main
<H3c>display boot-loader
The primary app to boot of board 0 at the next time is: flash:/S7500.app
The backup app to boot of board 0 at the next time is: flash:/S7500.app
<H3c> reboot （ Make sure that you have saved other configurations before
restart）
Now you complete the host software and BootRom upgrade (The reboot command is
necessary to restart the switch).
 Note:
In case of inadequate Flash memory, you can delete some of the program files in Flash,
some host program that is no longer in use for example, after completing Bootrom
upgrading. Then FTP the host program to the switch for upgrading. Power off is
prohibited in the process of upgrading..
