Restrictions and Cautions
1. If you perform powered device (PD) detection on a PoE-enabled port connected to a non-PD device
such as a PC, the detection status of the port is incorrect, and PoE does not work.
2. The switch does not support configuring ip-subnet-vlan on a per-port basis.
3. The protocol-based VLAN feature does not support AppleTalk.
4. A VLAN-based QoS policy does not take effect on a QinQ port.
5. SA/EA series cards do not support portal authentication.
6. The switch does not perform URPF check on any incoming packet whose source IP address
matches an equal-cost route.
7. Traffic mirroring does not support mirroring double-tagged packets.
8. When an S7502E switch equipped with an SC line card and an SA line card works in
switch-mode l2-enhance mode, the SA line card does not support CFD loopback.
9. The default MIB style is compatible.
10. Do not configure storm suppression and QoS policy on a port at the same time. Otherwise, storm
suppression cannot work correctly.
11. Do not limit the number of learned MAC addresses on any port that needs to forward
cluster-related protocol packets. Otherwise, such packets cannot be forwarded.
12. On any port that needs to forward RRPP and routing protocol packets, do not configure features
that deliver packets with unknown source addresses to the CPU, such as voice VLAN, limit of
learned MAC addresses, and MAC authentication. Otherwise, such protocol packets may be
discarded.
13. Avoid enabling Layer-2 multicast and Layer-3 multicast at the same time. Otherwise, the
drop-unknown function does not work.
14. When configuring VPNs on an SA line card, make sure that the learned ARP entries do not exceed
the upper limit. Otherwise, incorrect ARP entrie s may exist, and directly connected devices cannot
be pinged.
15. When the IP multicast group entries learned by the device exceed the upper limit, make sure that
an SA line card’s ports do not join any IPv6 multicast group. Otherwise, the SA line card may
reboot.
16. If a device runs a version earlier than E6200 and the first port of an aggregation group in the
configuration file is shut down, upgrading the device to this release will shut down the
corresponding aggregate interface. You need to execute the undo shutdown command on the
aggregate interface to solve this problem.
17. Do not configure BPDU-Tunnel on an aggregate interface. Otherwise, the aggregate interface
shuts down.
18. The qinq transparent-vlan command is used to configure VLAN transparent transmission on
QinQ ports. This command supports mapping packets that have a single VLAN tag. To map
packets that have multiple VLAN tags, use the ACL MQC configuration method.
19. The boot file of this version does not contain the Boot ROM file, and thus cannot be used to
upgrade the Boot ROM. Use the BootROM version shipped with the switch instead. It is not
recommended to upgrade the BootROM.
