Chapter 2 Release Issues for the Switch 7700 V2.0 These Release Notes offer updates on Switch 7700 V2.0 features in the following areas: Ports Network Routing Multicast Protocol Qos/ACL STP AAA and Radius System Management System Hardware Documentation 2.1. Ports Symptom Jumbo frame function is different on V1 and V2 of the operating system. V1 of the operating system does not pass frames greater than 1518 when jumbo frames are disabled.

The Switch 7700 IGMP query timer is set to 60 seconds (the standard is 125 seconds). If other systems on the network are set to 125 seconds, after 60 x 2 seconds, the Switch 7700 thinks that the querier is no longer on the network and it tries to reelect a new querier by sending an IGMP query packet. System Management Symptom A saved configuration file is not synchronized when a secondary fabric is installed The Switch 7700 does not save configuration file changes after a reboot. The secondary fabric is not automatically upgraded when (or after) the primary fabric is upgraded. The switch's operation is disrupted for several minutes after removing the master fabric.

In the Switch 7700 Installation Guide, in Table 21, on the Link aggregation row, the last line says, "…up to 24 ports." In the Switch 7700 Command Reference Guide, the mirroring-port command no longer exists. Also, the monitor port command no longer exists.
Chapter 3 Upgrading Applications Note: Always save the configuration file before upgrading applications. To upgrade the software image of a 7-slot Switch 7700, use the applicable procedures in sections 3.1 through 3.4. for upgrading through FTP, Xmodem, or TFTP Before you upgrade the software image of an 8-slot Switch 7700, there are several things to remember: A fabric from a 7-slot chassis should be installed in Slot0 in an 8-slot chassis and must be upgraded to V2.0 (8-slot version) of the software.
