These Release Notes offer updates on Switch 7700 V2.0 features in the following areas:

2.1. Ports
Symptom Solution
Jumbo frame function is different on V1
and V2 of the operating system.
On V2, enable jumbo frame function and flow
control on the ports.
V1 of the operating system does not pass
frames greater than 1518 when jumbo
frames are disabled.
Enable jumbo frame function and flow control on the
ports.
The CLI displays the same information
when jumbo frames is enabled or
disabled.
The CLI displays the same information about MTU
size and maximum frame size whether jumbo
frames are enabled or disabled.
2.2. Network
Symptom Solution
The Switch 7700 does not respond to
broadcast ping messages.
Do not use the broadcast ping command.
On a multi-netted interface with DHCP
relay, addresses are only provided on the
primary interface.
Use static addresses or add a DHCP server to the
secondary interface.
2.3. Routing
Symptom Solution
An OSPF learned route is preferred over a
manually defined static route.
To give a Static Route a better preference, manually
change the preference to a value lower than 10
when defining the Static route.
2.4. Multicast Protocol
Symptom Solution
In some cases, if an IGMP server does
not send a join to a group to which it is
