Switch 7700 V2.00 Release Notes

RELEASE ISSUES FOR THE SWITCH 7700 V2.0
2.8. System Management
Symptom Solution
A saved configuration file is not
synchronized when a secondary fabric is
installed
Execute the save command on the master fabric
after both fabrics are installed and operating
normally.
The Switch 7700 does not save
configuration file changes after a reboot.
Save the configuration file before you reboot the
switch.
The secondary fabric is not automatically
upgraded when (or after) the primary
fabric is upgraded.
See “Upgrading Applications” in these Release
Notes.
The switch's operation is disrupted for
several minutes after removing the master
fabric.
Allow the fabric synchronization process to complete
before removing the master fabric. The
synchronization process takes approximately 5
minutes to complete after inserting a slave fabric or
after rebooting the Switch 7700 with two fabrics
installed.
The Switch 7700 may not respond reliably
to SNMP requests for information about
connected devices.
Network Management applications may
not show correctly the connections
between the Switch 7700 and the rest of
the network.
SNMP V1 is disabled by default so the
chassis is not automatically discovered by
3NS.
Use the snmp-agent sys-info command to enable
SNMP V1.
A reset of the recycle bin can take over 2
minutes for each item.
Wait for the prompt to display.
The slave switchover command
operates differently in user view and
system views.
In system view, the slave switchover command
enables or disables fabric switchover capability. In
user view, the slave switchover command is used to
perform a fabric switchover.
After booting the switch, enabling SNMP
V1 or V2c also enables SNMP V3.
Disable SNMP V3 manually if you do not want it
enabled.
2.9. System Hardware
Symptom Solution
In Ethernet port view, the mdi command lists
two parameters, auto and normal. These
parameters have no effect.
The Switch 7700 system is auto-mdi only so
there is no support for these parameters. Do
not use these parameters.
