50 CHAPTER 2: USING PORT COMMANDS
Description
Use the duplex command to configure the duplex mode of an Ethernet port to
auto-negotiation, full duplex or half-duplex.
Use the undo duplex command to restore the duplex mode of a port to the
default mode (auto-negotiation).
Related command: speed.
Example
To configure the Ethernet port “Ethernet1/0/1” to auto-negotiation, enter the
following:

Description
Use the flow-control command to enable flow control on an Ethernet port.
This avoids discarding data packets due to congestion.
Use the undo flow-control command to disable flow control.
By default, flow control is disabled.
Example
To enable flow control on port “Ethernet1/0/1”, enter the following.

interface_type: Enter the port type. This can be either Ethernet,
GigabitEthernet or M-Ethernet. M-Ethernet describes the out-of-band
Ethernet Management port located on the Fabric module. Other interface types
