Known Problems with the Management
Software
Auto-MDIX mode is not available if auto-negotiation is
disabled on a port. That port will only operate in MDI
mode.
If a port is a member of an untagged VLAN, you might
want to change the ports status from untagged to
tagged. If so, you must move the port to a different
VLAN that receives all untagged traffic, make the
change and then make the port a tagged member of
the original VLAN. To do this:

Enter the CLI command
bridge vlan
modify addPort

Type the VLAN ID that you want to move the
port into and press
Return

Type the port number to be moved and press
Return

Enter
untagged
for the Tag Type and press
Return
.

Make the port a tagged member of the original
VLAN. To do this:

Enter the CLI command
bridge vlan
modify addPort
.
b
Type the original VLAN ID and press
Return
.

Type the port number and press
Return
.
d
Enter
tagged
for the Tag Type and press
Return
.
IGMP Snooping cannot be disabled. The Web Interface
and the Command Line Interface appear to let you
disable IGMP, however, it will remain enabled.
When you power-cycle the Switch, a
Cold Start Trap
will not occur.
When you place a port in an Aggregated Link, the
Flow
Control
command is always enabled.
When a port is a member of an Aggregated Link, the
port is visible in the Bridge menus but cannot be
configured.
To add a port to an Aggregated Link, perform either of
the following operations.

Disconnect the cable from the port.

Add the port to the Aggregated Link.

Reconnect the cable to the port.
or

Add the appropriate ports to the Aggregated Link.

Power Cycle the Switch 4300 by either
disconnecting and then reconnecting the power
supply or by using the
system control reboot
command on the CLI.
To remove a port from an Aggregated Link, perform
either of the following operations.
1
Disconnect the cable from the port.
2
Remove the port from the Aggregated Link.
3
Reconnect the cable to the port.
