Switch 7700 Configuration Guide
Implementing STP on the Switch 7700 175
and do not disable those involved. (The following configuration takes Ethernet 0/4
as an example.)
[SW7700] interface ethernet 0/4
[SW7700-Ethernet0/4] stp disable
3 Configure Switch C and Switch B to serve as standby of each other and sets the
Bridge priority of Switch B to 4069.
[SW7700] stp priority 4096
4 Enable the Root protection function on every designated port.
[SW7700] interface ethernet 0/1
[SW7700-Ethernet0/1] stp root-protection
[SW7700] interface ethernet 0/2
[SW7700-Ethernet0/2] stp root-protection
[SW7700] interface ethernet 0/3
[SW7700-Ethernet0/3] stp root-protection
5 RSTP operating mode, time parameters, and port parameters take default values.
Configure Switch C
1 Enable RSTP globally.
[SW7700] stp enable
2 The port RSTP defaults are enabled after global RSTP is enabled. You can disable
RSTP on those ports that are not involved in RSTP calculation, however, be careful
and do not disable those involved. (The following configuration takes Ethernet 0/4
as an example.)
[SW7700] interface ethernet 0/4
[SW7700-Ethernet0/4] stp disable
3 Configure Switch C and Switch B to serve as standbys for each other and set the
Bridge priority of Switch C to 8192.
[SW7700] stp priority 8192
4 Enable the root protection function on every designated port.
[SW7700] interface ethernet 0/1
[SW7700-Ethernet0/1] stp root-protection
[SW7700] interface ethernet 0/2
[SW7700-Ethernet0/2] stp root-protection
[SW7700] interface ethernet 0/3
[SW7700-Ethernet0/3] stp root-protection
5 RSTP operating mode, time parameters, and port parameters take default values.
Configure Switch D
1 Enable RSTP globally.
[SW7700] stp enable
2 The port RSTP defaults are enabled after global RSTP is enabled. You can disable
RSTP on those ports that are not involved in RSTP calculation, however, be careful
and do not disable those involved. (The following configuration uses Ethernet 0/4
as an example.)
