Security Device Authentication System Mode
Modifying the Authentication Mode
You can select either the local database or the RADIUS server to be used when
authenticating device login requests for the Switch using the System Mode window.
This operation is not available on the SuperStack 3 Switch 4400 SE. To make
RADIUS authentication of Switch Management Login available on the SuperStack 3
Switch 4400 SE, upgrade the product to the Switch 4400 SE Enhanced Software Upgrade
(3C17207).
To access the System Mode window:
1. Click Device View on the Toolbar.
2. Select Security -> Device -> Authentication -> System Mode in the Navigation
Tree.
The System Mode window is displayed.
3. Select the excluded IP address that you wish to modify and then select Local or
RADIUS from the Device authentication mode pull down menu.
4. Click OK. The authentication mode is changed to the selected state, and the
System Mode window closes.
