Using the Utility
The Software Update utility is a Windows application that you can use to install software
to your unit.
Installing the Software Update Utility
To install the software to your unit using the Software Update Utility, follow the
instructions below:-
1. 3Com recommends that you download the latest version of the management
software for your unit from the 3Com World Wide Web site:
http://www.3com.com/
2. When you have downloaded the software for your unit, extract the ".bin" file to a
directory on your computer. The ".bin" file contains the management software for
your unit.
3. Download the Software Update Utility (filename suu03_xx.exe) from the 3Com
Web site:
http://www.3com.com/
4. When the Software Update Utility has been downloaded, double click on it and
follow the instructions for installation.
5. Once the Software Update Utility has been installed, run it and follow the
instructions on how to install the management software to your unit.
