Setting up your Switch as a RADIUS Client using the Setup Configuration Wizard
If you have a RADIUS server on your nework you can configure your Switch as a
RADIUS client using the setup command on the radius menu. The Switch can then be
used to carry out RADIUS authentication
The configurable items that appear in the setup configuration wizard are duplicates of
existing menu items that can also be configured separately as single line commands.
For your Switch to begin RADIUS authentication once it has been setup, you need to
change the authentication mode from local to RADIUS using the systemMode command.
The configurable items within the setup wizard are:
Primary authentication server IP address and UDP port number
Secondary authentication server IP address and UDP port number
Shared secret
Primary accounting server IP address and UDP port number
Secondary accounting server IP address and UDP port number
Accounting action on failure
To configure your Switch as a RADIUS client:
From the Top-level menu, enter:
security radius setup
The wizard then takes you through each configurable item step-by-step.
