security radius sharedSecret
Modifying the Security Key
You can modify the security key, that is the shared secret value that the Switch and the
RADIUS server use, using the sharedSecret command on the radius menu.
To modify the security key for the Switch:
1. From the Top-level menu, enter:
security radius sharedSecret
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter shared secret (?):
2. Enter the existing shared secret.
The following prompt is displayed:
The shared secret must be of length 8 to 128 characters. The maximum
size of the shared secret may vary for different RADIUS servers. The
secret may be entered as a text string and will not be echoed.
Enter shared secret (?):
3. Enter the new shared secret.
The shared secret on the Switch must exactly match the shared secret on the
RADIUS server. This shared secret must not exceed 128 characters, even if the
server supports a greater number of characters.
