Automatic is the default setting for IP configuration.
4. If you select manual, you are prompted to enter the following:
IP Address
Allows you to enter a unique IP address for the Switch.
If you change the IP address of the Switch, you can no longer access the web
interface unless you enter the new IP address in the Location Address field of your
browser.
Subnet Mask
Allows you to enter a subnet mask for the Switch.
Default Gateway (router)
If your network contains one or more gateways, this field allows you to enter the
IP address of the default gateway.
5. If you select manual or automatic, you are prompted to select the management
VLAN. The Select Management VLAN window will display all available VLANs from
which you can choose.
Contact with the unit may be lost if you change the active management VLAN.
You may need to re-establish contact with the unit from a host on the designated
VLAN.
6. Once you have selected your management VLAN or if you select None, on the first
first screen, a summary of your settings will be displayed.
