Installing the Modules
.
If the module’s LED mode is PoE, the Mode LED provides information on the status
of the PoE connection for that port:
If the Mode LED in on the port is providing PoE power.
If the Mode LED is off the port is not providing PoE power.
Status LEDs
There are two status LEDs:
PoE - Illuminates when PoE power is being supplied to one or more PDs. It goes
out when there are no valid loads attached to any of the ports. It will blink to
indicate an error on any of the ports or when any port is denied PoE power.
EPS - Illuminates when the module is connected to an HP 600 RPS/EPS. It goes
out when the HP 600 RPS/EPS is disconnected from the module. It blinks when
there is an error on the HP 600 RPS/EPS or it is over-subscribed, more PoE
power is needed than the HP 600 RPS/EPS can supply.
LED Mode LEDs
The Std or PoE LED is lit depending on which mode has been selected by pressing
the LED Mode button.
If the Std LED is lit, the Link and Mode Port LEDs display information as listed in
the previous table.
If the PoE Mode LED is lit:
The Link LED is on, indicating there is a valid 10base-T or 100base-TX
connection.
The Mode LED is on, indicating that the port is providing PoE power.
The Mode LED is off, indication that the port is not providing PoE power.
