Note You can install, exchange, or remove modules after the switch has been powered on, except for the J9095A System Support modules. Removing this module with the switch powered on will cause the switch to shut down. The same is true for the J9092A Management Module unless there are two of them installed in the switch. Whenever a module is installed during this process, it is initialized and tested for correct operation. During this process, the switch Self Test LED is on.

Register for Automatic Notification of Updates. You can receive email notices of new software updates by registering your HP ProCurve product on the HP ProCurve Web portal. To begin this easy process, go to www.hp.

Mini-GBIC Operation Notes Revision “B” or later mini-GBICs only. This product requires revision “B” or later mini-GBICs (product number ends with the letter “B” or later, for example J4858B or J4859C). These switches do not support revision “A” mini-GBICs. Use only genuine ProCurve mini-GBICs. Non-HP ProCurve mini-GBICs are not supported. Use of genuine products ensures that your network maintains optimal performance and reliability.
