Environmental Specifications

Table 2-3 lists the maximum temperatures and other environmental specifica-

tions for Extended Services zl Modules.

Temperature Operating

0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F)

1. For the 5406zl/8206zl chassis, a maximum of two Extended Services zl Modules

may be installed, one on either side of the chassis.

For the 5412zl chassis, a maximum of four Extended Services zl Modules may be

installed; three of these modules may be installed in the left side of the chassis.

If a module is installed in excess of these quantities, the module will not boot.

For the 8212zl chassis, a maximum of four Extended Services zl Modules may be

installed; two of these modules may be installed in the left side of the chassis.

For the 5400zl chassis, if all the modules are installed in the left side of the chassis

the temperature specification is set to 50°C for the chassis. If any modules are

installed on the right side of the chassis, then the temperature specification for

the chassis is 45°C.

For the 8200zl chassis, the temperature specification is set to 45°C.
